It is pointed out that we need to touch people with a vision of how this will improve the quality of life in our region. We need stories from people who have implemented similar transportation systems. Pyle points out that this is a long-term plan – think 100 years similar to New York City’s plans for its subway network. Technologies, such as platooning and autonomy, are going to allow much more efficient use of highways. There are a number of local companies that are actively working to commercialize these technologies to improve safety, environmental impacts and costs.
