Zoning Code Updates for Secondary Units (ADU), Community Meetings
Discuss proposals to update Chapter 20.30 “Residential Zoning Districts,” Title 20 of the San José Municipal Code (Zoning Code) for Secondary Units (ADU), to include clarifying changes to lot size, setbacks, height, parking exemptions and definitions; and other related modifications to Title 20, to include paving and parking requirements.
In addition to the above community meetings, the City of San José will schedule public hearings with the Planning Commission, and Housing and Community Development Commission, prior to the City Council hearing for the above items.You may also refer to this current Municipal Code link on Secondary Units: https://library.
